Disney will be releasing a new adaptation of The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling in April 2016. Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) the film stars Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong’o, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, Idris Elba, and Ben Kingsley. Trailer 1 is available in Lossless PCM 5.1 or AC3 5.1 and can be downloaded from The Jungle Book trailers page.
Is that the trailer itself or the encoding? I can hear pretty much everything on every track (LFE excluded of course)… 😀
Is that good? I did not do any audio encoding on The Jungle Book, I did convert the video from MKV to MP4 but the audio was a direct copy.
Oh okay. :/ So it’s the trailer itself. I meant that “hearing everything” as a negative – vocals (well, Kaa’s vocals, which were probably placed on all tracks deliberately) are also on the front and back tracks, the music is also on the vocal track… I guess the editor(s) of the trailer really wanted everything to be everywhere.^^
Oh yes, Kaa’s vocals certainly dominate the sound space. I do have another version of the trailer that is not mixed but it broken into all 6 channels. I will see what it is like and can post the results for comparison.
Any results concerning the other version of the trailer? 🙂
I was not aware of another version.
The one you wrote about on September 17 is the one I mean: “I do have another version of the trailer that is not mixed but it broken into all 6 channels. I will see what it is like and can post the results for comparison.” 😀
oh! I remember now. Let me mix that together and I will post it tomorrow.
Is this still available somewhere?
