A few months ago, I uploaded the first trailer for Tenet, and 6 days later received a notification from Warner Bros. that I was unauthorized to use the materials and was infringing upon their intellectual property rights. At that time, the teaser was only available in theatres and was not released online. This time, Trailer 2 has been released online so I don’t expect any harsh notifications from the studio.
I know that in my facebook post I said I would have this up on Friday, and I almost did. When I finished the 1080p trailers I received the 4K version. So instead of doing two posts I decided to just do one with everything included. There are a few different things with Tenet Trailer 2. The first is that the 1080p version has an aspect ratio of 2.19:1 (1920×876) which is a bit unusual. The 4K versions have a 2.40:1 aspect ratio (4096×1716).
The audio on the 1080p and 4K versions are different. Both are official 5.1 mixes, but the tracks looked to have their polarity (not phase) inverted. This happens sometimes and I do not know what the impact really is on the overall experience. The other difference is the levels are higher on the 4K. Both versions have distortion sounds in the second half of the trailer. This is the way it is supposed to be. Personally, I would not make the choice to deliberately distort audio but that is an artistic choice that I feel many would just assume to be a flaw.
All of the encodes have some banding that is particularly noticeable in one shot. There was very little I could do to eliminate it and it even appeared in the ProRes master. The 80Mbps version is the closest to the master.

Hey Jonathan, can you please re-upload the first teaser? The link went down before I could download it. Thanks.
Can you post the prores master file?
Sorry, I can not.
Great job thanks! Do you happen to have TENET prologue?OR will it be available to you anytime soon?If you do have it It’s obvious you can’t share it on this website
Jonathan, I very much need to get Trailer 1# back so i can download it. In many ways this trailer is much better than Trailer 2.
And its impossible find anywhere on the Internet to download in anything other than 2 channel stereo. Please explain why you are unable to put back the link to Trailer #1
The trailer has been cropped from top and bottom. I just compared it with the one on youtube. Could you please upload the one in the IMAX Aspect Ratio.
The 1080p version is in the IMAX Aspect Ratio. The 4k Trailers are cropped from top and bottom. Could you please reupload them in the IMAX format.
The 4K is only available in the Scope aspect ratio.
Another major problem I found in the 1080p trailer was that it’s speed was increased, as a result of which eventhe audio pitch has gone up.
Just compare it with the trailer IMAX uploaded on YouTube.
You are right. The source was a ProRes 25 FPS file. I assumed that it was just an extra frame per second with overall duration the same, but it actually runs about 4% faster than 24 FPS. I will fix when I get a chance.
Will you be uploading an IMAX 4:3 mkv version?
