Scarlett Johansson is Zora Bennett in Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025)

To be honest, when I went to see Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) I thought that it was the end of the series. Afterall, the original three stars were reunited and that is usually an indicator of things wrapping up (except in the case of The Force Awakens). But here we are just a few years later with the upcoming Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025). Rebirth is the key.

I am happy that we are going to have a new Jurassic adventure. The original from 1993 is a groundbreaking moment in cinematic history. It really pushed the envelope in what was possible with digital visual effects, and it was also the first film to be released with DTS sound. Much like Star Wars (1977), it set the stage for a new era of movie making. And the score by John Williams is superb. That being said, I would say my favorite is The Lost World (1997).

I clearly remember seeing both in the cinema for the first time, but The Lost World just seemed to be have higher stakes and more peril. I am also a big fan of the sound design by Gary Rydstrom. If you have a 5.1 or higher sound system with a big subwoofer, put on the scene where the T-Rexes attack the command bus that eventually goes over the cliff. It is a masterpiece. The T-Rex attack in the original is as well, but I think there is a lot more going on in that scene from The Lost World.

Enough about the past. Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey. It is directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)) and arrives in theaters on July 2, 2025.

I will have encodes with 5.1 audio and likely 4K resolution in the coming days. But for now, please go to the Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) page to get the first trailer with 10 bit video and Stereo DTS-HD Master Audio.

Quick Note on Superbowl Trailers

There will be a number of trailers and spots released on Sunday night during the Superbowl. In an effort to get things to you as quickly as possible, I plan to have a post on the home page that I will update with any trailers I post. To ensure I can get things to you quickly I will only be posting one encode per trailer. It will be an MP4 with with AC3 Stereo audio. I probably will not have any 4K or 5.1 audio on Sunday. But I will provide a nice 1080p that will meet the standards of this site. I hope you understand, it takes hours to do these multiple encodes, so it really is not possible to get everything to you during a football game.
