This takes me back. I remember watching the He-Man cartoon back in the 1980’s and I rather enjoyed it. Skeletor was a great villain. I mean, a living skeleton, how could you go wrong with that? Now this summer He-Man returns to the big screen in Masters of the Universe (2026).
From Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, the film brings the iconic 1980’s Masters of the Universe toy line and cartoon to a live-action setting. The film is about Prince Adam, who as a child, made his way to Earth from his home planet Eternia, losing the magical Sword of Power in the process. Years later, the sword draws him back to Eternia, where his world has succumbed to Skeletor’s evil rule. To save Eternia, Adam must join forces and embrace his role as He-Man: the most powerful man in the universe.
The film stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam / He-Man, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Duncan / Man-At-Arms, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn and Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.
Today I have the first trailer giving us a fist look at Eternia, He-Man, the Sword of Power, Battle Cat, and of course Skeletor.
