This Dolby Trailers page lists all the Dolby trailers we have at thedigitaltheater.com.
To playback the MKV files in Dolby TrueHD you will need a media player such as Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) or a Media Server such as Plex that can output the Lossless stream via HDMI to an AV Receiver that supports Dolby TrueHD. These files have been tested with both MPC-HC and Plex.
To enjoy the MKV files in Dolby ATMOS, in addition to the requirements above, your AV Receiver must support Dolby ATMOS and you must have additional ceiling mounted speakers or Dolby Atmos enabled speakers. Without those you will still experience the audio in Lossless TrueHD.

Could you please upload IMAX trailers.
I would like the latest IMAX Pre Show 2015 (never compromise) in 5.1 or 7.1ch.
Thank You
Hey Pontakorn! I reached out to IMAX regarding a brand partnership. I am hopeful that they will see the benefit of providing the materials.
Can you please upload the IMAX 2011 Pre-Show in 1080p FLAC 5.1 MKV
Here is a video link
Any chance of getting the DLP Technology Trailer Is HD quality?

Could you please upload any Dolby video with Truehd 7.1 channel in MP4 format?
Sorry, the MP4 container does not support Dolby TrueHD.
Sir which is the video player supports Dolby Atmos formats in windows10 laptop
Media Player Classic Home Cinema https://mpc-hc.org/
Sir where I can download Dolby Atmos movies in any website pls refer me
Is there any standard player that can play the audio? I know Sony BPR do not play them or lg tv’s built-in players wont’ either. I know Kodi player and plex on a PC will but trying to get a different way to play the content on more mundane equipment.
I’ve been trying to get the Dolby atmos helicopter demo
I believe I once had that one. Let me check. I have a bunch of demo clips I need to add…
Hey there,
Thanks for the uploads. I was wondering how I can get the video trailers included on the September 2015 Dolby Atmos demo disk.
There was one with Game of Thrones and Insurgent, Mad Max etc.
It’s the latest one and I cannot find it anywhere.
OH YES!!! I want some Game of Thrones test too (Blackwater scene for Atmos).
Challenge question for you: I have some .mkv Dolby Atmos BluRay backups and I’d like to play them on my TV. My TV is a new LG 4K TV with a webOS that has Plex. I also have the new Apple TV that has the Plex app installed. The receiver is a Denon Atmos enabled receiver and I’m using the ARC channel on the TV & Receiver. How should I “stream” the video file in order to enjoy the Atmos audio. Should I use the Plex app on the TV, the Plex app on the new Apple TV, or play the file via a USB stick directly into my TV (i.e. still TV output via ARC but with no Plex app needed)… Or will none of these give me the result I need? I’ve trolled the internet for days and can’t find any definitive answer. Lastly, I do see that the Amazon FireTV (new Nov. 2015 one) supports Atmos (EC3_JOC) so should I buy that box instead so that Atmos would work OR am I still limited by the Plex app capabilities… Lots to ponder, but the outcome that I want is simple — to enjoy Atmos sound that’s contained in the .mkv file I have…
Hey I just had a similar challenge: to play an mkv video file with Dolby Atmos audio. (prefer not to buy another Media “box”) – I discovered my Panasonic Blu ray (BDT330) plays them off a USB stick to my Yamaha Receiver Perfectly with full Dolby Atmos
no some of the tv product ensures that ARC tehnology sounds for 2.1 ch whether av receiver receives it only upconverted into (pro or stereo) 5.1 only. if you want dolby atmos effect you need an bluray player which support upto 7.1ch through hdmi port and bluray disc which contains DTS HDMA (5.1 or 7.1) & DOLBY TRUHD (5.1 or 7.1) dolby tru-hd supports dolby atmos better than dts-hdma
Hi Jeremy,
Play your mkv file in a media player select PCM out and let your Denon AVR decode the Atmos signal.
If you’re sending PCM, how will the AVR decode Atmos?
Most TV’s with ARC doesn’t support 5.1 format, let alone Dolby ATMOS. Apple TV does not support ATMOS passthrough either. I suggest you invest in a media player/server which supports Dolby ATMOS passthrough as well as DTS X support. Nvidia Shield and Dune Solo supports those formats.
xbone as well
HI, Does xbox one s support Dolby True HD 7.1 from pendrive conected via usb?
2016 LG TV does not support Atmos over hdmi arc… The only way is connect your AVR input to the any Atmos supported player and send this video signal from AVR HDMI port to the LG TV
Use NVidia Sheild , which has Atmos passthrough for Plex and Kodi
Hello and thank you for the demos. Any chance that you can get the 4K copy of the AMC Dolby Cinema intro? Or perhaps the Dolby Presents: “Universe” demo?
do you have the dolby cinema trailer with 5.1 ch and 7.1 ch ????
That Trailer the the Countdown trailer (both version 1 & 2)
I’d like to have also the dolby cinema trailer in real dolby sound. On Youtube and vimeo are only the stereo ones.
Pls help!

how to set dolby atmos on computer
(i have a sound card)
if you have sound card then it has a hdmi port OUT through this (5.1ch or 7.1ch) audio transfer occurs.so you need an 7.1 av receiver that support dolby atmos in av receiver hdmi port IN available. connect hdmi (IN and OUT) through hdmi cable.if you watch bluray disc movies you need an bluray drive like (lg or pioneer or lite-on) in your computer.
how to setup dolby atmos on computer
(i have a sound card)
Hi anand. To get Dolby Atmos you will need a receiver that has an Atmos Decoder, and you will need to have an HDMI connection to the receiver. A player on the PC that supports Dolby TrueHD should be able to send the Atmos encode to the receiver.
Any idea on where to get DCP versions of these??

Hello, I have a receiver A/V with 5.1.2 ATMOS, but I see here 7.1 ATMOS, is the same? thanks
Hi David. Yes, An A/V Receiver with 5.1.2 ATMOS would playback the 7.1 ATMOS properly. What Receiver do you have? I just ordered the Onkyo TX-NR747.
Thanks Jonathan! I have the ONKYO TX-NR646 and I just installed the two ceiling speakers. Now I need a
movie with a good ATMOS, any idea?
Transformers: Age of Extinction is often mentioned as having a great ATMOS track, along with Terminator Genisys, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, San Andreas, and Mad Max: Fury Road. Be sure to let us know which you liked the best.
Thank you very much! Greetings
Dear Jonathan and everyone,
I have an Onkyo NR3030 with an HP Envy M7-N109 laptop hooked up to via HDMI. I have tried multiple players on the laptop such as VLC’, and MPC-HC, regular media player from Windows 10 and so far I have not been able to have my receiver display the “Dolby Atmos” signal. The most my receiver will display is either “Multichannel”, DTS, or Dolby Digital.
I have 7.1.4 set up, therefore my speaker and setup work perfectly on a Bluray with Atmos. The problem is just going through the laptop for some reason. Appreciate anyone that can help me.
Open control panel, and then go to sound. Make sure that you have your receiver selected, and that the correct speaker configuration is selected. Let me know if that helps.
I figured it out. After opening MPC-HC, I needed to change the audio settings to send the bitstream, lossless data to my receiver. After that I got the Atmos light to work. Thank you Jonathan.
I want to download the digital experience intro 5.1 in 1080p format
You can find that at the DTS page.
Could you please upload the digital experience intro 5.1 in 1080p format
Hi There,
Do you have IMAX Countdown: Sonic Anthem as in mkv or m2ts format?
Thanks
Hi,
I am new to surround sound in general and Dolby Atmos in particular so please excuse what may be a dumb question.
I grabbed all the Atmos samples from here and then got information about them via mediainfo. This told me that they were all 7.1 files with two fronts and a centre channel, two side (surround) channels , two rear channels and an LFE channel.
There was no mention of any ceiling / height channels.
My receiver , the Marantz 7010 is a 9.2 receiver with the possibility of going to 11.2 by using an external stereo amp.
When I eventually move into my dedicated cinema room I intend to set up a system incorporating two fronts and a centre, two sides, two rears and two ceiling speakers along with a couple of subwoofers.
My question is will these files give me the true Atmos experience despite mediainfo not reporting any ceiling channels as being present ?
Yes, they will. Dolby ATMOS uses the Dolby TrueHD 7.1 format as the foundation. The ATMOS objects are contained in the meta data of the TrueHD stream, and will be decoded with your ATMOS receiver. When I play them using my Onkyo TX-NR747, the input on the display reads “Dolby Atmos”
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for the clear explanation.
I look forward to playing these demos when I am up and running with my 7.2.2 system.
Hi there, I have just bought an Onkyo TX RZ800 running 7.2.2 speakers (rear ceilings) and would love to demo it with these files and tweak the levels (AccuEQ is fine but I like to tinker!) I can’t seem to download them?. It says to “save link as” but I only have “save target as” and that appears to be the html page. Am I a dinosaur and doing it wrong? Would love to spend the day THX reffing these files. Is it my laptop or are the files no longer downloadable by right click? Also, will they work with 7.2.2 i.e two subs? Many thanks!
Hi Glen,
Sorry about that – all you need to do is to click on the download link. I removed the instruction that says to right-click as it no longer applies.
Hi Jonathan- excellent – thanks!. I managed to download them shortly afterward. What a great afternoon of surround it was. Amaze Atmos is stunning – a real lesson in articulating the sound around the speakers. But I have a question on Atmos if I may? I have an Onkyo RZTX800 (only had it a week or two so still tweaking it!) It’s a THX 7.2.2, wired up accordingly with the heights placed at rear and the amp has been configured to know that array etc. But I played Everest BD and the rear surrounds are silent. The Heights worked and the film sounded phenomenal, (ridiculous sub-sonics across the last 50 mins!) but nothing from the rear surrounds?. The Amaze Atmos demo went around all 9.2 speakers in truly wonderful surround, but the movie didn’t touch the rear surrounds. Is this an Onkyo set up issue? or a BD encoding issue i.e that’s what the studio wants= 5.2.2 not 7.2.2 I’m still learning about the ‘listening modes’ and the amp defaults to ‘Dolby Atmos’ once the film starts as I have the input default as ‘direct’ for BD. Is there an Onkyo setting that will kick the rears in as well as the heights? or am I way off track and it’s encoded in the BD not to do that. I’m a little confused as to what I should be getting from an Atmos setting as I thought setting the amp up as 7.1.2 would send sound to all the speakers as well as the heights? Sorry for the long explanation. Cheers Glen.
Hi Glen,
It sounds like you have everything set up correctly. Have you confirmed that there actually no audio in the rear channels when playing Everest? I would actually go and put your ear close to a rear speaker to confirm that there is nothing but silence. The Everest track is 7.1 atmos, so there should be something there. I find my rear speakers to be very difficult to isolate when watching a movie, and really the Dolby Amaze trailer is the best example I have heard of an actual sound in the rear channels where I could honestly sense the sound moving behind me. For the most part I find the rears help to give the surround soundstage better balance and coverage. Anyway, play Everest again and go up to your rear channels and confirm if they are indeed silent.
Hi Jonathan
I’ve reset my RZ800 and my BD player and then double checked the rears again with Everest and they are still silent. The heights are kicking in nicely but no sound from the rears.
I think I know what the issue might be: My Onkyo is 7.2.2 (with separate speaker posts for rear surrounds and separate speaker posts for heights) but it’s actually only a 5.2.2 Atmos system.
So perhaps a 7.1 Atmos encoded BD simply resorts to 5.1 Atmos on my RZ800 and shuts off the rear surrounds??
I think it’s a way of being able to flick between 7.1 BD content and Atmos content without reconfiguring your amp or mucking about with cables etc. So it would explain why there is no Atmos content coming from the rears as my amp simply doesn’t push sound to them. Strange thing is that you and another person ( including a BD review site,) all say that Everest is in Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 (48kHz, 24-bit), but my disc does not have any choice within the Audio menu – it just says Dolby Atmos…..with no DTHD7.1 choice? Perhaps if I could select that DTHD7.1 option and not the Dolby Atmos option, it would ping sound around in 7.1 and my rear speakers would start singing (but the two heights would remain silent as they only kick in when detecting an Atmos signal) any idea on how I access the DTHD7.1 choice? .
Or perhaps it’s my idiotic brain not accepting that 7.1 = 1fl, 2cc, 3fr, 4sl, 5sr, 6lh, 7rh, .1sub = 7.1! and that Atmos isn’t supposed to work your rears, it’s supposed to work your heights!
Haha, I’m tying myself in knots here.
I have a denon avr-x1200w and have downloaded some of the .mkv files. Along with MPC-HC they sound great but I dont know whether I am playing them in atmos or just in true HD. I have the correct setup with the atmos speakers but I cannot get Atmos to display on the Denon. Only Virtual or surround etc? Any ideas how I can find out if it is playing in Atmos or just True-HD?
Thank again 🙂
Hey Jonathan, can you upload the IMAX Countdown: Sonic Anthem? thats the best countdown i’ve ever seen, pls.. thanks
Thanks for the trailers.. wanted to check my Mobile which claims equipped with ATMOS..

Yes, I think it is probably ok. As long as you are not using copyrighted music or what have you, you should be ok.
Ola colegas,
Hello Jonathan. Not sure if you can help, but I’m looking for a 7.1 version of the Coke Thirst Dolby bumper. I can always get it from YouTube in stereo, but I would prefer to find one in TrueHD. No luck searching on the web.
Hi…
Really I Love dolby atmos sound system… because dolby was real surround sound… and clear sounds… and perfect powerfull Bass… i feel amazing…
I Love and I Like sooooo much Dolby
thanks for making these available. I’ve downloaded, added the media player you suggest and output to my ATMOS enabled Denon 2200 from my PC with an HDMI but ATMOS isn’t picked up or selectable on my amp..
Any suggestions?
I would make sure that you are setting your output to bitstream instead of using any internal decoders. See example:
Can u please upload dolby horizon demo video
This is great – I downloaded the ATMOS vids off Youtube to find they are all 2 channel – these sound amazing – Thanks for your work 🙂
I hear ZERO surround activity when playing the lossless ATMOS files. I’ve tried this on my main system and my bedroom system. I know for a fact that they are both Dolby True HD capable, I hear plenty of surround activity when playing TrueHD sources. What’s wrong?
I made the changes in Media Player classic that Jonathan suggested and surround works now. What settings would enable surround in kodi?
Found it. Changed audio setting from Optimize to Best Match.
You have to enable Pass-through in the System Settings for Audio in Kodi. Then Enable DD, DD+, DTS, DTS HD.
hey, i downloaded dolby atmos trailer but it has no sound
Did you try to plug it in 😀
Thx for the great page and list! With our alugha player we support that kind of audio online. We added two of the videos so people can test it within the browser.
Please make sure you have connected a liable sound machine 🙂

Hello Jonathan !
Wow the Dolby Cinema Element trailer !
It’s so awesome 🙂 I have been looking for it as well.
Glad to see that a multichannel version exists.
I think that the db levels are a bit low compared to the rest or is it my imagination ?
Also is it too much too wish for a lossless Dolby Atmos/true HD version ? or doesn’t that exist period?
Hi Jonathan !
How awesome to have the Dolby Element trailer now!
Normally it would be in True HD/Atmos, any chance getting that version ?
MKV is not a good format for ATMOS. M2TS is better and more compatible with ATMOS. A lot of players encounter the problem of not being able to extract the objects properly from the 7.1 bed when the audio is in MKV container (Although it still does give full 7.1 channel surround but the object information in a lot of bluray players is lost). Search the topic in hometheatre forums for detailed info.
So only if the audio is ATMOS, then please pack in M2TS. Otherwise MKV is the best format.
thanks for trailers

HI. I would like to ask if it is allowed for me to use these sound clips in my own Youtube clips?
Probably.
Any Chance you get the new IMAX,, Filmed with IMAX Cameras” Countdown from Transformers / Sully?
Thanks!
Im looking for the new Dolby Cinema demo thats featured in some cinemas right now. I saw it when I went to the new Transformers movie but I can find it anywhere. I remember that there was a part that I only saw a white circle and the black around it was totally black. Hopefully someone can help me find this.
I asked the creators of the pre-show, Midnight Sherpa,
they say that the Pre-show must kept in Dolby Cinemas because of Dolby contracts
Hi,
I just came here to say thanks for these files. I downloaded the atmos versions and ran them via Nvidia Shield to my 7.1.2 set-up and it sounded glorious.
Strangely enough this sounds better in terms of sound height and positioning than any 4K BluRay I’ve tried with Atmos so far.
I’m wondering why that might be.
I would suspect that Dolby made sure to have these demo trailers showcase the very best of what Atmos can do.
Greetings.
I recently bought an Nvidia Shield TV 2017 (which supports both ATMOS and DTS X) to compliment my Onkyo TX-NR646. I then downloaded most of the ATMOS and “lossless” samples from here and they sound EXCELLENT. I love the “Amaze”, “Leaf”, and “Dolby Cinema-Element” the most…truly immersive. I have a 5.2.2 setup NOT a 5.1.2 🙂 . The “.2” in the middle is actually a split signal between my subwoofer and a tactile transducer (Crowson Tech) for a better subsonic experience. I don’t have to crank my subwoofer now to “feel” the lows since the transducers are doing that.
I do have a question though. I have a few movies which have a 5.1 or 7.1 TrueHD signal support but the “ATMOS” indicator doesn’t light up on my Onkyo. May I ask why?
Never mind. I found the answer. Thanks again for sharing these files. Hope you can share the ones on the Dolby ATMOS demo disc though…
Hi Jonathan, thanks for all these dolby files. I have bought an Onkyo TX-R710 receiver (yes it supports dolby atmos) and I have setup my speakers to 5.1.2 settings. I have a Sony x930d 4K TV. I have downloaded some of the files and put them on a flash drive and played the files via the TV’s USB port.
But unfortunately I am not getting my receiver to detect the audios in Dolby.
Although the receiver do pick it when playing all my other movies which ranges from Dolby Atmos to DTS X. And strangely enough the DTSX files which I downloaded from your website, seems to be working perfectly.
I am in now way an audio expert nor in this receiver so I wouldnt have a clue whats going on. Would really love to hear your opinion in this. Thanks.
Are you using Audio Return Channel (ARC) from TV to the Onkyo?
Great archive, Jonathan. Thanks for providing it.
I’ve got the same issues, but a different setup:
Denon AVRS730H. TV and AVR are connected using ARC. Tried it through the Samsung One Connect box, PS4 Media Player, across the server, everything. I’ve tried to switch from Bitstream (Dolby), to Bitsream DTS, and PCM. Nothing is decoding properly. “Audio not supported.”
great
Could you get your hands on the Dolby Atmos “Nature’s Fury trailer?
I have seen it on Youtube, but of course it’s stereo only and nothing beats a native Atmos mix.
Would be awesome if you could. It’s a great sound demo with lots of panning effects from all directions
Thank you.
Yup i’ve seen it too. But check the Dolby Cinema Universe, very EPIC!
Do you think you could get your hands on the “Nature’s fury Dolby Atmos trailer?
I have seen it on Youtube from Dolby Asia, but it’s in stereo only and nothing beats a native Atmos mix.
It’s a great demo with lots of panning effects from all directions.
It also happens to be one of the demo’s they use in their own Dolby cinema’s right before a movie is played
Thanks a bunch.
Hi Kevin,
when you search ,,Dolby Developer GitHub” on Google, click on ,,DolbyDev” , when you are there click on ,,DolbyDev/Universal_Windows_App”, then go on ,, view code”, after that click on ,,Dolby.UAP” .
When you have done this, go to ,,Assets” , then on ,,Content”, after that click on ,,Videos” , and finally click on the ,, natures-fury-3mbps.mp4” and download it, it is the Trailer you are looking for.
To download it correctly, you must be in the Desktop Version.
Hello,
I am actually looking for the combined Atmos and Vision version of Nature’s Fury that is being showed in cinemas right now. Do you guys know if this version is available anywhere online. I’d preffer it to be in Atmos but if it’s not that’s no problem with me.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I tried your method but the video only contains stereo audio, verified through my receiver (Its also only 43 megabytes, no way it could contain Atmos)
However I found the actual place where Dolby keeps the trailer in true Atmos albeit not lossless. My receiver says its Dolby Digital+ embedded with Atmos (same format Netflix is using to deliver Atmos)
(Windows 10 required):
Open the Microsoft Edge browser (Currently the only one with Dolby Audio support.
Next go here: http://developer.dolby.com/support.aspx
Select HLS on Universe Fury demo (Some idiot named it incorrectly), The demo will now stream in Dolby Atmos if your equipment is setup correctly.
I dont know how to download it directly, but I wish there was a way for our convenience.
This took me a long time to find, but its great. Lots of activity in the overhead channels (no upmixing). I have 7.1.4 setup.
Enjoy.
Hey Jonathan.. Great job!! Congrats.

This is fantastic. You’ve made it easy to download to a thumb drive and play via usb on my blu ray player. Keep up the good work, hopefully you can keep getting these!
Is it possible to get any of the SDDS trailers in 5.1 PCM?
Could you please upload the following Vue Dolby Trailer in 5.1 or 7.1ch.?
Thank you very much!
I think that VUE cinemas intro is fantastic, but unfortunately I do not have anything other than what is available on vimeo. I could upmix it…it might sound decent.
I just went to Dolby cinema and they have a new amazing trailer. I can’t find anywhere the trailer and especially the Atmos version to use at home 🙁 Can you find that?

hi downloaded amaze lossless and leaf lossless on android box which i have hooked up to marantz 7009 a/v receiver when i play it plays video but comes up no audio file I have 7.2.4 dolby atmos
Using VLC player The downloads that are not in dolby atmos I can get sound Some of the downloads that are dolby atmos I can get sound but it plays in Dolby surround not dolby atmos
VLC does not support more than stereo audio, at least not by default. There may be a way to do it, but I do not know how. Media Player Classic Home Cinema can play virtually any format, including Atmos and DTS:X. You can get it at https://mpc-hc.org
Hola Jonathan Perdon por la pregunta y no tiene nada que ver con Dolby Atmos.Me puedes dar tu opinion del Suwoofer Cerwin Vega LW-12? Gracias

Video is fine but states No audio file
Hi, I had issues with my Android Box (Minix) playing to my Yamaha Atmos Receiver. It needs to bitstream the Dolby True HD sound which carries the Atmos encoding. Not all media players can do this, and if so their Audio settings need to be right as well.
Regards
Bill
Hi Will try that
Thanks to Jonathan and William
Randy
First of all, your PC needs to be connected to the Marantz via HDMI
Secondly The connection MUST be HDMI 2.0 (HDMI 1.4 only supports up to 7.1 channels)
And thirdly you can Use VLC 3.0 (latest) which has a new Audio passthrough feature which will send Dolby Atmos and DTS X unprocessed to the receiver for decoding.
Please upload latest Dolby Nature Fury in normal Dolby Digital 5.1 or PCM 5.1
Hello. Do you have any of these trailers with an audio codec of AAC? I have a Panasonic Blu Ray player (model DMP-UB900) and it (surprisingly) only supports MP4 audio with AAC codec. Picture works fine, just no sound is sent to my receiver (Yamaha RX-V2067). Thanks.
I must advise against using MKV for Dolby TrueHD/Atmos as they strip off the AC3 core that is required for Blu-ray players.
M2TS is much more suitable for TrueHD as the AC3 core is crucial and works much better.
Could you please upload the Dolby Cinema Universe preshow??_(:3」∠)_
oh, and…
it’s said that the preshow (never compromise) for the 12.1 IMAX is a little different from the ordinary one, could you please upload that version???
Thank you! All the Atmos demos work great on my Yamaha rxv583 expect the Nature’s Fury (Dolby Digital Plus ATMOS) one which the receiver just won’t recognise as Atmos! No idea why.
Hi Nice collection,. Is there any way I could download Dolby’s Atmos and Dolby ision short film “Escape”? Thank you.
any way to have an blu-ray ISO built with all of these items and make it downloadable? Would be great to just pop in a disc.

Hi there, sorry I’m new to this site but I’ve been following it recently and since I’m having a few issues with my new Dolby Atmos soundbar I was just wondering if you good people could help me?
Here are some details to help:
Blu-Ray Player: Panasonic DMP-UB400 4K Blu-Ray Player
TV: Sony Bravia 49” XD7005 model TV.
Soundbar: Sony HT-XF9000
I have been trying to play some of these trailers on my blu-ray player via USB but the player tells me audio file not supported. The picture plays fine but there is no sound.
I have also been playing some Atmos enabled blu-ray discs and even though the sound plays fine here, I do not think it sounds Atmos enhanced like the demos I’ve heard in the stores for this soundbar.
I have my soundbar connected to my blu-ray player via 2 high-speed HDMI cables (one for AUDIO OUT to the IN slot of the soundbar, and the other going into the HDMI2 slot of my TV). I then have a HDMI from the TV ARC slot of the soundbar to the ARC input on the TV. Since there is this 4K audio link between the soundbar bar & blu-ray Player I have set it to AUDIO BITSTREAM OUT on the player settings and disabled secondary audio.
To complicate things the player remote is not showing any display to tell me if it is an Atmos broadcast when I click the button – something which I have emailed them about today.
Sorry for the essay but if you have any advice at all for what I might be doing wrong it would be much appreciated!
you could trying playing the trailers from this link: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/dolby-atmos-trailers.html
Try to play this via your Bluray player with HDMI out from the player connected to your soundbar and use ARC to connect TV and the soundbar. Keep the sound field either in ClearAudio+ or 3D surround in your soundbar.
Can any one help me
I have a Panasonic DMP-UB900 blu Ray player linked too my pioneer SC-LX89 with supports Dolby atoms
Have downloaded the demos too usb
And plugged into blu Ray player
It plays video but no sound says Audi format not supported ??
Its because blu-ray and UHD players dont support Atmos through local files nor HDR for that matter.
It’s probably a licensing concern about piracy, not hardware limitations.
You have to play them through a capable PC, or Nvidia Shield.
Hello Kevin.
How about xbox one s?
Try MP4 formats. You could trying playing the trailers from this link: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/dolby-atmos-trailers.html
Try to play this via your Bluray player with HDMI out from the player connected to your soundbar and use ARC to connect TV and the soundbar.

Dolby Nature’s fury seen audio not supported. Please add new one
I’m running these Atmos demo files from Plex & and an Apple TV 4K to a Marantz SR 7012. I run Atmos with no issues from the Apple TV using Netflix and Vudu & from my Blu-ray player. When running the demo files, it will show as Atmos as my input sound type but I’m only getting sound from my front 3 channels and the sub. Set up is 5.1.2. Any ideas?
Thank you very very much real appreciation!!!
It really bothers me that the audio is out of sync on the Unfold trailers. It’s the same in my local cinema.
If you check out the “escape” Dolby Vision/Atmos video it’s even worse. It’s out of sync on the sample disc itself. On the Vision/Atmos app on the LG OLED is perfect though. I wish I could find a version to have that isn’t out of alignment. I tried to fix myself, but the channels are actually mastered and layered and mixed out of sync, so I couldn’t do anything about it 🙁
Super super sound
Very nice
Thank u
Is there anyway you can please upload the ‘dolby intro’ trailer.
It’s basically the longer version of ‘nature fury’ that was on the Dolby access app not to long ago. For some strange reason they took it down with some of the worst trailers with the latest update (12/20/18). I’ve been searching high and low even went as far as contacting Dolby and seeing if they could help. Here’s a link on YouTube where I found it.
https://youtu.be/QhCVuqAO18Y
No guarantees, but I will see what I can do.
As far as I know the Demo is included on the Dolby Vision/Atmos 4K Demo Disc 2018 and is called ,Core Universe’.
On the Dolby Access App, it was called , See Hear Spectacular’

Hi,
There are 2 Dolby Atmos trailers (Leaf & Amaze) available in https://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/dolby-atmos-trailers.html, which is in MP4 format. Can you upload other Atmos trailers in MP4 format? I am not able to play the Atmos trailers which you have uploaded here in MKV format via USB in my Sony Bluray player, however MP4 format in Dolby website is working fine and I am able to feel the Atmos effect in my HT-ST5000 soundbar.
im having the same problem getting Atmos to work with your files but the MP4 files from dolby work fine and my Denon reciver displays Atmos when playing them
i use the latest Apple TV and plex to play
Same here. I downloaded several of your Atmos files and none of them output in Atmos for me when played on Plex. The Atmos trailers from Dolby’s site work fine so I know my setup works.
The Atmos trailers on Dolby’s site are DD+ and not Dolby TrueHD. That could be the issue.
I believe that is exactly the issue. TV’s today do not produce Dolby TrueHD, they only Pass-through TrueHD from another device. They do produce DD+.
Good repository of audio samples.
Can you please upload…dobly universe cinema.. trailer…in Atmos codec…
Hi,
Dolby Cinema element is great, possible to have it with lossless Audio?

Hi Jonathan,
Thank YOU for this wonderful site. Your effort is very much appreciated. I will make a contribution soon. First, I would like to offer some feedback and make an inquiry.
I became a believer in Atmos when I first heard it in 2003 at the Dolby Labs in Burbank with a friend who was a member of the MPSE. It took me until December 2017 until I could afford to own a system. The receiver said Atmos, the disk player said Atmos, but…you know all the frustrations one can experience in trying to piece together all the components necessary to have actual true Atmos experience. Even the Dolby site has contradictions and mis-implications. What an ordeal. But, I was determined.
After MUCH research (and a couple of years with my not quite Atmos system), I delineated what I define as a “mid-sized” full Atmos system with Dolby Vision. Finally, within the past two months, I have put together ALL the requirements for a 7.2.4 audio system with an adequate monitor/TV (not quite OLED, yet). I have much to share later, in a white paper, which I will email to you.
In that I do some consulting, I wanted to set up a folder of samples to demo this system so that people could decide what options they want and what compromises they are willing to make. Outside of full-length DVDs and movies/shows from Netflix and Prime, all I could find were the two files from Dolby, which you correctly show and provide as DD+ (compressed Atmos). I can’t believe that Dolby Labs doesn’t want to share samples at True HD (uncomressed Atmos) to help the likes of us evangelize the wonders of a full Atmos system optimally set-up.
I was resigned to having only the two compressed files and having to demo parts of films/shows, which is time-consuming and interruptive. That is until I stumbled upon your wonderful site. I downloaded every file I deemed good for a full demo, including: your IMAX samples, THX samples, DTS samples, and Dolby Atmos samples that are True HD with Dolby Vision. I placed them in a folder on a high quality USB 3.1 flash drive.
My reports regarding results as follows: On my LG SM9070PUA (Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos 7.1 True HD capable with an HDMI 2.1 eARC port) The IMAX and THX samples are awesome! The DTS files only played in Stereo at low volume compared to other files (and 15db less than the DTS Master logo on a Blu-ray). The files encoded with M2TS all showed at Dolby Vision on the screen and Dolby Atmos on my Denon X3600H receiver. Looked and sounded awesome. However, the MKV files showed as Dolby Vision with an error message, “This video does not support audio.”
Bummed, but not deterred, I plugged the flash into the USB port on my Sony x800 disc player (HDR, but no Dolby Vision…Panasonic 820 on the way). Results: Perfect IMAX, THX, DTS, and Dolby in M2TS format. Same “no audio in this video” message with the MKV files. However, interestingly, the stream show-up as Atmos True HD on my Denon even though there was no sound.
Therefore, at long last, my inquiry: Why the use of MKV format when the M2TS format carries the 7.1 True HD info/sound superbly? I have read that MKV, while widely accepted and open-source, doesn’t always work. My Sony specs say MKV is supported under Video, but no sign of it under Audio (although there is a supported spec for MKA…which I would assume being the audio half of MKV…but no cigar). Do you have any suggestions for my situation? I feel SO close to demo bliss…
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Merci!

can HDMI carry Dolby Athmos 7.1
It sure can!
Amazing site! Note: The “Unfold 2” trailer also has AC3 5.1 (a nice bonus).
Hey! Love the site. Unfortunately I can’t get the Vision trailers to work on a Plex client of a Shield direct playing them to a compatible AVR and TV. The TV reports regular HDR10. I think that’s because they’re dual layer files. Single layer Vision files play fine using the same scenario.
Why are there no AURO-3D samples?
Hey guys,
I have download some Dolby Atmos 5.1 trailers. Put the files on to a USB stick, put the USB stick into the Samsung 7000 series TV (2020), which is linked to a Sonos ARC though HDMI E-arc. So on the TV I see the video, but I don’t hear any sound.. it just keeps on saying ‘your lisiting to the dolby digital compangon track not the dolby atmos…’.
Am I doing something wrong? Can you guys help me out?
I would really appreciate it.
As far as I know, Samsung smart TVs only have Dolby Digital Plus encoder, no TrueHD. So you will not get lossless Dolby Atmos content. That’s why no sound because you play Dolby Atmos trailers lossless/uncompressed (TrueHD). If you play the trailers lossy/compressed (Dolby Digital Plus) you will get the sound.
If you want to play TrueHD trailers, use PLEX media player (Nvidia Shield TV Pro) which has TrueHD encoder to process Dolby Atmos lossless contents.

Hi Johnathan
I am using Kodi atm on a 4k firestick, the firestick only does passthrough off Dolby digital plus in dolby atmos I was looking for some material that does 7.1 DD+ Dolby atmos the demos above do say 7.1 DD+ but when I play them I either get Dolby true HD (which isn’t supported by firestick) or I get 7.1 but it’s not Dolby digital plus if you could help me on this i’d appreciate it
Hi Jonathan,
I have 7.1 setups with Denon X1200W, I am playing Atmos trailers (downloaded from here) using my Windows10 laptop in Plex, While selecting DD Surround I’m getting sounds from all 7 speakers but not showing ATMOS in Denon receiver, and it’s not automatic displaying the ATMOS, I believe my setup is not correct. Info showing, Signal -PCM Sound – Dolby Surround can you please guide me on how can I get ATMOS audio…
You need to make sure that in your PLEX settings that you have bitstream set as the output. If the Denon is showing the signal is PCM you likely are only getting stereo and your Denon is up-mixing to 7.1. So make sure it is set to bitstream. Hope this helps.
Hi,
I have got a 12 channel wave file (multi-channel PCM wave file) on my PC. I have got 7.1.4 speaker setup and Denon 6700H AVR. I have connected the PC to AVR through HDMI. PC HDMI to Blu-ray player HDMI input port in Denon AVR. When I try to play 12 channel wave file on my PC using VLC or Audacity, the output is played out on all speakers which seems to be mixed. I need to play each channel content on different speakers with this setup. I doubt if data going out from PC is getting downmixed to stereo and then again getting up-mixed in AVR. Can you please suggest which software I can use on PC to playout the 12 channel wave file as is which gets output through HDMI to AVR? And Settings/port connections to be done in Denon AVR so that data is played out as is without up-mixing on individual speakers? Thanks in advance.
According to the Denon Sound Parameter Table, which you can get here: Denon Sound Parameter Table you need to select Direct Multi-Channel or Direct Pure Multi-Channel. As for the output from the PC, you will need to check your Operating System’s Audio Output configuration so that all your 12 channels are recognized and assigned appropriately for PCM. Someone else may have more experience with this.
Thanks Jonathan for your feedback.
@all, Does anyone have any idea about playing back of multi-channel wave files (say 12 channel wave file) in PC through some software through HDMI so that each wave channel data can be played out in different speaker? Please suggest

Hello,
Maybe you can understand the difference between DTS and Dolby Atmos.
On my computer, Windows 10 show me the possibility to buy Dolby Atmos for headphones and DTS headphones.
I have a Bose QC35 II.
I’m on 7 days trial.
I thought that if I use DTS I can’t here DolbyAtmos, but it’s not the case. So how can I distinguish them?
Also I can still with all deactivated and on windows Sonic for headphones. But I can here the difference at that point.
*Maybe you can help me to understand DTS and Dolby Atmos for headphones.

hello good morning I wanted to ask please if it is possible to get the Dolby Countdown v1 trailer in m2ts format. I was accidentally deleted from my collection, the download you have here is in mkv format, and there is no way to play it correctly in true-hd since the mkv format does not encapsulate truehd + ac3, it stays only in truehd and then the bluray player does not detect sound.
Thank you very much Sanaholly
Yes, I can.
ok thank you very much. expected to download
need trailer
I tried the first trailer “Amaze” and it looks like it doesn’t work, with emphasis on looks.
Amaze (Lossless-ATMOS) doesn’t give me any audio (headphones or speakers) while Amaze does give me audio, but it doesn’t sound like I would expect.
I have the Dolby Access app and when I watch this trailer there It sounds “better” as in, more surround like.
Using a Sonos Arc, Sub and One’s giving me a 5.1.2 setup.
I have the Dolby Access app on my PC so it isn’t like I’m switching from Amaze on PC to Amaze on TV inside the Dolby Access app.
Wondering what I’m doing wrong here.
I’ve downloaded all the Atmos demos, and they all fail.
This is on a brand new Marantz SR7015 receiver, brand new Nvidia Shield Pro, new JVC 4k projector. I get great Atmos sound from 4k discs, but these demos are dead to the Shield + Marantz. The receiver reports no audio input on these demos. Can you please check the encoding?
Again, discs on my Sony player are fine, and Atmos movie rips play fine through Plex. But these Atmos demos, when run through Plex via the Shield Pro, are dead silent and do not show a viable audio stream.
Hi Thomas. The version of Unfold 2 I ripped from the John Wick 2 Blu-ray – some of the specs are below. I do not know why it would not work if other rips do.
Format : TrueHD
Format profile : TrueHD+Atmos / TrueHD
Codec ID : A_TRUEHD
Duration : 25 s 151 ms
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 5 645 kb/s
Maximum bit rate : 7 581 kb/s
Channel(s) : Object Based
Hello these demos are fine. The problem is in sony players that do not play dolby atmos in mkv format. I also have this problem with my sony, I have been doing many tests and this does not happen if the playback format is m2ts.
On the other hand, most players in mkv format the atmos have no problem.
The problem is this: all users with sony players will not be able to listen to dolby atmos in mkv format.
Because: the m2ts format is the one physically used by blu-ray discs, in which it carries the dolby atmos audio signal that in technical terms is true-hd + ac3 (core) and when making the conversion to the mkv format the core is lost and stays in true-hd (only) this is the reason because there is no sound in sony players.
I am making a compilation of all these and many more trailers and demos in m2ts formats, so that all those who fear this problem that we are many can reproduce them without problems, that as soon as this list I will upload it to this website or put link for direct download.
I did a .m2ts for Unfold version 2, which is on the dolby page. Did that one work ok?
Please add all Atmos movie thanking you

Hi Jonathan
first of all thank you for Dolby content, I have one question, that if I play Dolby True-HD (7.1 ATOMS) file from laptop (using player suggested by you), will my Dolby Digital Plus AVR can decode it in 5.1 lossy/lossless format and will send the audio signal to 5.1 speakers? and if the answer is yes then can you explain why? Hi
thanks for these download!
could you provide some IMAX enhanced test download, please?
thanks
It would be very usefull if you could post also only audio test files for download, for example for Dolby Atmos Music without a Video component.
Many thanks
I will look into that. There may be copyright issues though.
I understand, but just a sample of an MP4 file with Dolby Atmos encoded Music would be great.
Could you please upload IMAX Pre Show 2015 (never compromise) in TrueHD 7.1 with Atmos ?
