Things have been getting back to normal now that our house is listed and we have found a place we would like to purchase. This means that I can spend more time working on content for the site – and there appears to be an uptick in trailers over the past couple of weeks. Afterall, the summer movie season is just a few weeks away with the release of Captain America: Civil War.
Jonah Hill stars in War Dogs, a film based on the true story of two young men in their 20’s who win a $300 million contract from the Pentagon. The film is directed by Todd Phillips who directed The Hangover trilogy. War Dogs is scheduled for release on August 19, 2016. You can get the first trailer (Trailer 2) at the War Dogs page.
Well, it does not appear that we will get an official 5.1 mix of the X-Men: Apocalypse trailers so I have tried my best to create a mix that is better than the default 2.0 version of trailers A and C. If you want to try them out, they can be found at the X-Men: Apocalypse page.
I have a lot of new content to add, but I need to make some room. If you are interested in trailers for the following films, get them now. They will be removed shortly.
Trailer C for Alice Through The Looking Glass (2016) has been added with lossless FLAC .mkv and AC3 5.1 .mp4 files. They can be found here. I am also working on Trailer 2 for Warcraft: The Beginning (2016) which I should have up tomorrow.
Has anyone had an opportunity to watch a 4K blu-ray since they arrived at the beginning of the month. If so, I would love to hear your thoughts.
It seems as though I did something wrong with Trailer 2 for Captain America: Civil War. Sync was off as was the frame rate, I am happy to say that I believe that the issue has been fixed, and new versions are now available at the Captain America: Civil War page. I am not quite sure what happened, but in the end I had to add a delay on the audio for the .mkv, and then used Handbrake to create the .mp4 from the .mkv file. These files play back in Plex and VLC without issues.
I mentioned that I have had a lot on the go lately, and part of that is due to a pending move – once we find a buyer for our house. The plus side to this is a happy wife, but also the ability to build a proper home cinema. I think it will be an interesting process, and I will document the journey here as I go along.
