Download Trailers 1 and 2 for The Creator (2023)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) is my favorite of all the Star Wars films produced by Disney, so I am really interested in seeing what director Gareth Edwards has in store in The Creator (2023). One thing that is immediately evident is the aspect ratio used for the film as it is presented in 2.76:1 “Ultra Panavision”. The last film to be shown theatrically in 2.76:1 was Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight (2015) and famously Ben-Hur (1959). Interesting to note that Gareth Edwards actually shot Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) in 2.76:1 but it was cropped to 2.39:1 in post production.
The Creator (2023) certainly has a Star Wars / Rogue One / Terminator feel and I am officially excited to see this film next month. I added the first and second trailers to the site. The first is from a 4K source, presented in 3840×1392 with the official 5.1 audio. The second trailer is only available as HD at the moment with a 1920×696 picture size. In case you are wondering, the image above was taken from the 10 bit 444 HD encode of Trailer 2.
