Back in the early 1980s, I remember watching ‘Fantasy Island’ on Friday nights – just before ‘The Love Boat’. I don’t recall a lot other than Tattoo saying ‘Hey boss, it’s the plane! the plane!’ and that the guests would always leave happy. I don’t think that either is a given in this Blumhouse Production and Columbia Pictures. Fantasy Island stars Maggie Q, Michael Peña, and Portia Doubleday. Directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2), Fantasy Island arrives on February 14, 2020.
Like Bloodshot, I have made an unofficial mix from from an official 5.1 foreign language version. For those who would rather go with an official mix, the stereo is also provided.

Blumhouse Productions and Universal Pictures presents ‘The Invisible Man’, starring Elizabeth Moss. In ‘The Invisible Man’, Cecelia Kass (Moss) discovers that her psycho ex killed himself leaving her millions if she is able to not be declared mentally incompetent. For most, that would not be a problem. But what if you believe there is an invisible man who is trying to kill you? I did not read the novel by H.G. Wells nor have I watched any earlier versions of ‘The Invisible Man’ so I don’t know how it ends. ‘The Invisible Man’ hits theaters on February 28, 2020.
Trailer 1 was mixed from the dialogue, music and effects tracks. Official stereo versions are also available.
Man, those are creepy eyes. I have to admit, although I have never read the comic, I think Bloodshot looks quite good. However, this trailer, like many others do these days contains some spoilers – unless it is deliberately done to throw you off. Why do they do this? It takes the suspense out of watching a movie and there is plenty to show without giving how an action scene will end in a trailer. Anyway, I don’t make these decisions I only post things here for you to enjoy and have the best experience possible.
On that note, The Digital Theater is pleased to present the International Trailer for Bloodshot, available in 5 configurations. There should be something for everyone. Until a few months ago, Sony would provide stereo dialogue, music and effects tracks which I would use to mix a 5.1 trailer. Most people liked the results, but not everyone. Sadly, Sony no longer provides the split tracks in favor of an “IGTV” stereo version. IGTV is a specially formatted version for Instagram, aimed for idiots who like to film videos with their phone upright. I remember 20 years ago when the transition to widescreen was occurring and Blockbuster had the genius idea of only having pan and scan versions of movies on DVD. Eventually, common sense prevailed and movies on DVD and later Blu-ray were available in their proper aspect ratios. Then a new generation of consumers came of age. These folks had wide screen TVs and monitors in their homes from birth. Somehow, we are now back to pan and scan, only it is now called “IGTV”. This problem was solved! And before you say “OK Boomer” I need to point out that I am not a boomer, I am Gen-X, and in addition to fixing pan and scan, we also fixed the Ozone layer (it is still there) and took on Acid Rain.
That was a bit of a detour. Where was I? Right, no more split tracks from Sony. This forces me to be creative. I got an official 5.1 mix for this trailer but it was not in English. Not only that, there was a lot of dialogue echo that bled into all channels. Because I apparently have nothing better to do, I cut as much of the dialogue from each channel, filled and then mixed with English. It only took a few hours. So the 5.1 mixes of this trailer are labeled as “unofficial” because it is based upon an official 5.1 mix, but there was editing performed to get it to be as close as the official English 5.1 version as possible.

Mike Lowery (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) return in Bad Boys For Life (2020), the third in the “Bad Boys” series which began with Bad Boys (1995) and followed up with Bad Boys II (2003).
Trailer 2 expands on the plot, so there may be some spoilers. Overall, I like it better than the first trailer and I think it should be a fun movie. There are 4 files currently for Trailer 2. There is a mp4 with AC3 Stereo. There is a second mp4 with an AC3 5.1 DTS:Neural Up-Mix. There is a mkv with DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo and AC3 Stereo tracks and finally another mkv with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 DTS:Neural Up-Mix and an AC3 5.1 DTS:Neural Up-Mix.
Please note that trailer 2 is a RED BAND trailer, and had some graphic violence, blood, and some language.

I have been meaning to post this for some time, but it just kept getting pushed down the pile. The THX Trailers page has been updated with eight (yes eight) versions of the new GENESIS trailer. The earlier file that was created from the YouTube encode is still there. The eight new files were created from a very high quality master, which also contained a PCM stereo track. I created a DTS:Neural UpMix from the PCM Stereo and it sounds fantastic. There are eight files because I also created a scope version for those who have a widescreen projector, HD versions for those who have requested HD instead of 4K, and MP4 versions for those who can’t use MKV files. There should be something for everyone. You can find the THX GENESIS trailer at the THX Trailers page.
Here is the 5.1 mix of Star Wars Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Trailer 2, with DTS-HD Master Audio. I also uploaded a .mp4 with AC3 5.1 as well. I am still waiting for a 4K version, that may take longer to arrive. The 5.1 mix versions are below.

This is it, the final Star Wars trailer for the Skywalker Saga: Star Wars Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker Trailer 2. Unfortunately, it is stereo only. But don’t worry – a 5.1 version will arrive in a few days time. I am only going to post the stereo version, and not do an upmix since I should get a proper 5.1 before too long.

Back on July 19, 2019 I posted Top Gun: Maverick (2020) Trailer 1 with a DTS:Neural UpMix from the stereo PCM master. I recently obtained a foreign language 5.1 version – which is also in 4K. So, I did a few things:
1. I created a mix using the foreign language 5.1 track, maintaining the Left, Right, LFE, Left Surround and Right Surround channels as they contained no dialogue – just the music and effects mixed for those channels. I replaced the Center channel with the one from the DTS:Neural UpMix. This was then encoded in DTS-HD Master Audio and AC3 5.1 tracks.
2. I created a new version of the 1080p trailer uploaded back in July. It has the same video track, I multiplexed the new DTS-HD and AC3 tracks.
3. I up-scaled the 1080p H264 Master at 24 fps and extracted the English title cards. I converted the 4K, 4096×2160 version of the trailer to a 4096×1716 H264 to remove the black bars. I then replaced the foreign language title cards with the English title cards. From this, I created two .mkv files: One as a 32 Mbps H264 .mkv and another as a 10 Mbps H265 HEVC .mkv file. These were then multiplexed with the new DTS-HD MA 5.1 and AC3 tracks. You can download all of these from the links below. Enjoy!

Video: HEVC H265 10Mbps
Audio: (Hybrid Mix) DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, AC3 5.1

Size: 253 MB ** I experienced some playback issues with the H265 Encode. If you do, I recommend using the 4K H264 version instead. Your experience may vary **

1917 is set during World War I and tells the story of two young soldiers who are sent deep into enemy territory to deliver a message that will stop 1600 men from being caught in an enemy trap. Directed by Sam Mendes (Skyfall) and cinematography by Roger Deakins (Skyfall), 1917 is presented as one continuous shot, which poses some unique challenges. Of course, neither trailer is presented as a continuous shot. The trailers below were mixed from the dialogue, music and effects tracks, and took many hours to put together. I hope you enjoy the results.
