Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) Trailer 1 1080p PCM, DTS, and AC3 2.0

Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)

Another trailer from 20th Century Fox – this time Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018). The Death Cure will be released in January, which will be here in no time. Sorry for the stereo trailers – if I had a 5.1 mix I would post that instead. Also, don’t be alarmed at the file sizes. Although they are about half of what I normally post, the bitrates are at the usual level. The reason they are smaller is that the trailer is only a minute long.

Red Sparrow (2018) Trailer 1 1080p PCM, DTS, and AC3 Stereo

Red Sparrow (2018)

I now have the first trailer for Red Sparrow, staring Jennifer Lawrence as a naughty spy. Since it is from 20th Century Fox, it is in stereo – but at least the picture is 32 MBps! You can find it at the Red Sparrow (2018) page.

Thank you to those who have purchased the “MISSION” pre-show trailer. I have started working on the next one, but it won’t be finished for a while.

There are more trailers coming this week as well: The Commuter, Jumanji Trailer 2, and Tomb Raider!

Custom Pre-Show Trailers

Going Live

Ok, this is both exciting and scary. I have been working on this for about a month, generated 53 GB of data, representing over 6,200 files in 145 folders; and now we are ready to launch our first pre-show trailer. I hope you like it. I went with a tech, space, rogue type of feel for this one. It may not be for everyone, so don’t worry – I have plans for the next one if you don’t like this one. Titled “Mission” it is available in nine generic formats and a customizable option as well. There should be a generic version that will meet your requirements. Sound options from 7.1 PCM to AC3 5.1, with 1080p or 4K video.

As I mentioned in the post the other day, this site is getting more and more traffic and is resulting in higher costs. That is great, as long as we can pay for those costs. These pre-show trailers are our way of offsetting the cost, while also providing you with something of value. The generic version is available for $5, which I feel is reasonable. For the customizable version, we are asking for $30 for the 1080p and $50 for the 4K. That may seem like a lot, but it will require a lot of effort on my part to put it together and make sure you are happy with the result. Why is the 4K so much more you ask? The 4K file is much bigger than the 1080p, and takes about 4x longer to render…makes sense since it has 4x the pixels. So, it is bigger and takes longer to make, that is why it costs more. Also, I have limited the amount of custom orders to 20. This is just to ensure that I suddenly don’t have more than I can handle, as I really don’t know what the demand will be, or how long it will take to produce and deliver the files to you. So, we may get 20 orders tonight…or none at all. Either is possible, and I would not be surprised either way.

So, head on over to The Digital Theater Store and check it out. There are also youtube samples available on each product page. Also, and I can not stress this enough…if you do purchase one of these files, please ensure that it will play properly on your system by first testing a sample file that is included on each product page. I put those samples there so that you would know that it would work for you, or not. If you have a problem with the sample file and feel it should playback on your system please let me know and I will do my best to help you out.

Payments are being made through the PayPal gateway. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can pay through them as a guest using your credit card or debit card. Once your payment is successful, you will be returned to thedigitaltheater.com where you will see your order along with a download link. If there is a problem with the site, you will find the download link in an email sent to the address you entered upon ordering. The download link will work twice. So if you have issues downloading, you can try it again. I recommend that you back up your purchase. You are free to make as many copies for your devices as you want, but please do not distribute to others.

Thank you again for your support and being a continued visitor of this site.

Milestones

The Digital Theater has hit a new milestone as of late: exceeding server capacity. I have been working very hard to keep the costs down and so far, through generous donations and people making purchases through the Amazon links, I have covered the capital costs to keep the site going. As I mentioned, we exceeded server capacity, so we have upgraded. I hope you notice an improvement in site speed as a result as we are now on better equipment, with more dedicated resources. The costs associated with hosting, file transfer, etc have increased 600% over the past two years.

When this site went live in 2015, there was no advertising. You may have noticed that the level of advertising has increased recently. It is just economics. As the site becomes more popular, it requires more resources, and more resources require more money. I love providing the things that I do on this site. It takes a lot of my time, but I have been able to interact with people all over the world. I think it is great, especially considering all the negativity that is out there, that this site has regular users from all parts of the world who share a common interest.

I plan to keep this site going for the long term, offering what is not readily available elsewhere. I have decided to add trailers for films from 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, and Universal with PCM , DTS, and AC3 stereo audio. I recognize that the original aim of this site was to provide 5.1 channel audio, and that remains my primary focus. In recent times I have refrained from featuring films from those aforementioned studios as they only provided stereo masters. I am now thinking that excluding them from this site is not helping the cause. By excluding them, thedigitaltheater.com would not be included in their statistics, which decreases our leverage in requesting more than stereo encodes for their trailers. At any rate, the increased bitrate of the video, along with a higher quality stereo encode is still better than what is available on youtube.

I am also working on providing unique and exclusive content for fans of thedigitaltheater.com. In the coming days, a new feature will be added to the site. I have been working on our first pre-show trailer that will allow you to highlight the capabilities of your personal home theater. This trailer will be available in several formats (5.1, 7.1, 1080p, 4K UHD) and for a reasonable price. It is my hope that this will generate revenue to allow this site to continue to provide the quality content that you expect.

Thank you for your continued support of this site. I look forward to providing you with the content you want now and in the future.

From the archives: Batman vs Superman ComicCon Trailer 1080p AC3 5.1

Batman v Superman

To the archives!

I was looking through my old files, and found the master for the 2015 Comic Con Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer. I have had a few inquiries looking for BvS trailers so I decided to revisit it. A bit of background on this one. The BvS Comic Con trailer was the first trailer that I mixed from Dialogue, Music and Effects tracks back in August 2015. The original .mp4 that I posted was only 128 Mb in size, with a video bit rate of 4403 Kbps and an AC3 5.1 track. As time went on I have increased the level of quality of my transcodes, so the original is really sub standard. I performed a new transcode from the HD master, with a video bitrate of 25.8 Mbps. Sadly, I do not have the lossless audio elements so the remaster contains a tweaked version of the original AC3 5.1 track. I found the original to be a bit unbalanced to the surrounds, so I re-balanced it more to the front. You can find the remaster of the Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice Comic-Con 2015 trailer at the Justice League (2017) page.

Help Wanted

I am looking for some assistance verifying file playback via the PlayStation 4. The pay is terrible ($0) but it could be fun. If you have a PS4 connected to a 5.1 or higher sound system, enjoy audio visual technology, and have some spare time, please contact me.

Update:

I have receive responses from some volunteers. I will be contacting them shortly. Thanks for your help!
