We are on a roll this week! The first trailer for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back has been added to the site with two options to choose from: Lossless FLAC 5.1 or AC3 5.1. Both sound great so pick the one that works with your system. Also of note is that the new xXx (Vin Diesel) trailer will be available this week, and I will have it here perhaps as early as tomorrow. As quickly as I write this it is now available. It will take me some time to put the mix together, but it will be ready tomorrow. I better get to work…
I just uploaded Trailer 2 for Deepwater Horizon which provides a glimpse of what we can expect to see in terms of the devastating force which destroyed the oil drilling platform. Trailer 2 “Heroes” can be found at the Deepwater Horizon page.
Deepwater Horizon officially opens on September 30, 2016.
It is hard to believe, but we are only 5 months away from the release of Rogue One and I am totally psyched for this film. And now we have the sizzle that was screened today at Star Wars Celebration Europe in London. I believe that Trailer 2 was also presented to the audience, as Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm instructed the audience to turn off their phones and to keep what they see a secret. The webcast then displayed the sizzle reel again, but I am certain the audience saw the trailer which will be on ABC tonight.
The sizzle has lots of new footage and frankly looks awesome. I can not wait for Trailer 2, but in the meantime, you can get the sizzle in Lossless 5.1 audio and AC3 5.1 the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story page.
Update 9:05 PM EST – July 15, 2016.
It appears that the Rogue One Trailer that aired during the Force Awakens Special on ABC was in fact the Sizzle from Celebration Europe. I guess that we will have to wait a little longer for Trailer 2.
Trailer 2 for Pete’s Dragon is available at the Pete’s Dragon page as a .mkv with FLAC 5.1 or an .mp4 with AC3 5.1 aduio. This is a great trailer for home theater especially on a really big screen.
Yesterday I uploaded Trailer 1 for Don’t Breathe, however the posts to Twitter and Facebook were not automatically generated.
As reported last week, Trailer 2 for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is due for release on Friday. I hope to have it on Friday as well.
Well, a horror movie that does not involve a zombie, vampire, or daemon – very refreshing. Don’t Breathe is from the creators of the Evil Dead and you can get the first trailer in 5.1 audio at the Don’t Breathe page.
wetransfer is currently offline due to technical issues, and as a result the links to the mkv files will not work at the moment. I will update to let you know when the service is restored. The mp4 files that reside on thedigitaltheater.com are available.
Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 is in London from July 15th to 17th and it is widely expected that a new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be shown to fans attending the event.
Making Star Wars has found that a 3 minute trailer for Rogue One will air on ABC from 8 PM – 9:01 PM EST during the special “Secrets of the Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey.
I will have the trailer on the site as soon as I can, and Disney is usually pretty good at including the PCM 5.1 tracks in their press kits. However, at 3 minutes this is not a theatrical trailer so there is no guarantee what we will have in terms of audio. Either way, I will add it to the site as soon as I can.
I have been reading that there is some concern over the quality of the film, a large number of re-shoots, and perhaps a change in tone of the film to be more family friendly than a “war film” as described by director Gareth Edwards. I thought that the first trailer looked fantastic, so I hope the new one keeps that same level of tone and intensity.
In the meanwhile, you can get the 5.1 version of Trailer 1 at the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story page, including 3D and Lossless Audio versions.

A while ago I disabled the RSS feed on the site as it was causing an excessive amount of server executions. I am happy to say that for those of you who do not use facebook, you can subscribe to our brand new Twitter feed https://twitter.com/digital_theater. The feed will be updated with every post so you won’t miss a thing.
