A while ago I disabled the RSS feed on the site as it was causing an excessive amount of server executions. Trailer 3 for Star Trek Beyond is now available as a .mp4 with AC3 5.1 audio, or an .mkv with lossless FLAC 7.1 and AC3 5.1. This is my second trailer to feature 7.1 and I hope you enjoy the result. This is not the official mix, it was mixed by me using the individual dialogue, music and effects tracks. I find that playback of the FLAC track using my Onkyo TX-NR747 175-Watt 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver 
I also want to take a moment to recognize the recent death of Anton Yelchin, who played Checkov in the Star Trek reboot, including Star Trek Beyond. He was perfect in the role, and at just 27 he is a talent lost all too soon.
I uploaded the official 5.1 mix of Assassin’s Creed Trailer 1. This trailer has a lot of bass….don’t say you were not warned. You can get it at the Assassin’s Creed page.
I am now working on the latest trailer for Star Trek Beyond. I will post it once it is ready.
Getting back into adding new content and the first is the teaser for Disney’s Moana, which will be released on November 23, 2016. The trailer can be found at the Moana (2016) page.
On July 22, The Digital Theater will have been on the net for 1 year. According to the stats, it is in the top half million sites in the world, and in the top 50,000 sites in the Netherlands. That is pretty amazing. The site has even been linked to from Forbes.com – something I never thought would happen.
In preparation for the next year I have been thinking about making improvements. One of the things I want to do is to speed up the time it takes to post new content, and streamline the workflow. There is a lot of steps involved in converting from ProRes to H264, removing leaders, muxing tracks, mixing tracks, quality assurance, etc, and those steps will not go away. But I think I can do something to improve how I get the files uploaded and linked on the site.
I spent a lot of time on search engine optimization (SEO) over the past year, and I think I was successful in my efforts – appearing ahead of youtube and others in search results is impressive. The balancing act will be to streamline without negatively impacting the SEO.

Finding Dory Trailer 3 is now available. I was experimenting with the audio format (AAC) to make it compatible with the PS4 and Chromecast. According to my tester (that is you Justin) they do not work as planned, but the mp4 works just fine on the PS3. So, I am going to continue to work on that. If you know what the requirements are for PS4 playback please let me know. You can get trailer 3 at the Finding Dory page.
After 5 months of waiting, I finally have the official 5.1 mix of the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, and you can get it at the Independence Day: Resurgence page. There was no lossless audio option available, so I only created an .mp4 file with the AC3 5.1 track.
You can check out the very cool Deepwater Horizon trailer with AC3 5.1 audio, which can be found at the Deepwater Horizon page. The movie is based upon the true story of the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling platform, which exploded in 2010 causing the worst oil spill in US history. Mark Wahlberg stars in the film directed by Peter Berg.
There currently is no lossless multi channel version available, so I have only provided an .mp4 file with AC3 5.1. The page will be updated if a lossless audio format becomes available.
