Who wants the IMAX version of the second trailer for Avengers: Infinity War (2018) with the full 1.9:1 aspect ratio? Well, if you do there are three versions available: A 4K (4096×2160) mkv with PCM, DTS and AC3 5.1 encodes; a 1920×1080 mkv with PCM, DTS and AC3 5.1 encodes, and a 1920×1080 mp4 with AC3 5.1 audio. The 4K version is large at 1.5 GB.
Some people are still asking about playback on the PS4. I have confirmed that these files, and likely everything I have posted in the past two years will play on the PS4. For playback on a PS4, the USB stick must be formatted as FAT32. Nothing else will work. Secondly, you can not have the files in the root directory, they must be in a folder. It does not matter what the folder is called — it just has to be in a folder. If it still does not work, update your version of the PS4 Media Player.
What? No 3D??? 😛
Thanks for all your efforts keeping this site going, it’s greatly appreciated! 😀
Thank you so much. You are the best John!
I just wanna say that this is awesome. All your effort in getting these trailers is greatly appreciated.
Man, I love you. At first for this trailer in 4K and for second to confirm that IMAX version will be rendered in 4K, I thought that IMAX will render only 2K 3D and 4K version wil be only in 2.39 : 1. Thank you!
No problem. This was from the IMAX 4K DCP. The 3D IMAX DCP was also 4K. Since 4K 3D is not in the DCI specification, I would assume that 4K 3D will only be in IMAX theaters.
Thanks for the IMAX 4k! But I think the encode is a little wonky. The video stutters or drops out in the first 10-20 seconds or so (the rotating skyline portion) while the audio is fine. I tried it on 3 different 4k machines, but not a PS4. Any chance of a re-encode? And how about an HEVC 4k version instead of AVC?
Hi Puddy! I am not able to replicate the issue you are experiencing. What types of machines are you using for playback?
An Oppo 203 and two different PCs capable of 4k (tried both VLC and MPC-HC).
I had another thought, although not sure if it has anything to do with the stutter. But the trailer is still in DCI 4k specs (4096×2160) and not a home UHD specced version of 3840×2160. A 3840 HEVC version might be more compatible with other devices.
Hello. Firstly, thanks for the upload! Great stuff as per usual. Secondly, I’m having the same stutter issue mentioned above (1080p version, not 4K, played on VLC, on a relatively beefy PC). Just figured I’d chime in.
Thanks again! 😀
Thanks for this Very Usefull site. MuchAppreciated!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Thanks so much for this!
