Download 4K IMAX Trailer 1 for Superman (2025)

As mentioned in my pervious post (scroll down) the Superman (2025) page has been updated with lossless 10 bit 4K UHD encodes with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio of the first trailer. Superman (2025) directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)) is a reboot of the Superman series and is the first film in the DC Universe (DCU); produced by the newly formed DC Studios, a subsidiary of Warner Bros.

Here is my take on recent DC films. They make a good movie that is widely liked, and then follow it up with a sequel that seems to go in a whole other direction. It is not well received, so they reboot again. Variety is good, but if you are making a series there needs to be consistency. James Gunn has a consistent background with Guardians of the Galaxy in the MCU, so I hope he has influence in how the DCU moves forward. Speaking of the MCU, not all is perfect there either. There was a bit of a slump post Avengers: Endgame (2019) but it seems that they have quickly adjusted and got back on track. Captain America: Brave New World (2025) and Thunderbolts* (2025) both look to be in line with pre Endgame features.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to get on an MCU train while talking about the DCU…however, this is what it is all about. The DCU is meant to be a challenge to the MCU. Healthy competition is a good thing. I am hoping that if Superman (2025) turns out to be well received, they don’t decide to follow it up with Superman: The Musical (2027), or Superman: The Silent Film (2027).

Superman (2025) looks to be a great reboot and launching point to the DCU. I also think this is a fantastic trailer. I love the rendition of John Williams’ Superman theme (1978) with the electric guitar! And yes, it is 4K in the IMAX 1.90;1 aspect ratio.
