Download Trailers for Project Hail Mary (2026)

This week I have the first three trailers for Amazon MGM Studio’s Project Hail Mary (2026), starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. It is based upon the novel by Andy Weir (who also wrote ‘The Martian’). The film is about a teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling) who did some molecular biology back in the day. Suddenly, he wakes up on a spaceship, totally disoriented, with no clue where he is or why. This is how the trailer opens – with a big gasp from Ryland.

He slowly begins to remember that he is on a mission to save the Sun, and the Earth in the process. Throughout the universe, stars are dying due to some space microbes (I hope they explain why they don’t burn up); and Ryland is chosen to go into space and stop the microbes from killing the Sun. Oh, there is an alien too!

The first three trailers are essentially different length versions of the same trailer, each shorter than the last. The longest is Trailer 1, at 3 minutes. I do not have a 5.1 mix for this one, so it is only in stereo; but Trailers 2 and 3 have the official 5.1 sound track.

You may notice that there are two different aspect ratios used in these trailers. The space scenes are 2.20:1 and the Earth scenes are 2.39:1. I checked on IMDB, and there are also IMAX scenes that are 1.90:1, hence the Filmed for IMAX tag at the end of Trailer 1. I am assuming that the space scenes will be in 1.90:1 when shown in IMAX theaters.
