The second trailer for Eternals (2021) was released last week. When the first trailer dropped I wrote in the post that I wondered why ‘the snap’ was not enough to bring the Eternals into the action. It appears that this trailer answers that question. The Eternals will be released on November 5, 2021. The sound mix on this trailer is unofficial. It is based upon a non-English official 5.1 track. The Left, Right, LFE and Surrounds are original. The centre was mixed from the official English stereo track.
In other MCU news, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings comes to theatres next week, I have my tickets. And on the weekend there was a reported leak of the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) which is due in December. Sony has since posted it to its Twitter account. It looks very cool, and I will have it here as soon as I get access to the master.

Trailers in ATMOS is unlikely to happen, as it would have to be provided by the studio with an E-AC3 or Dolby TrueHD with ATMOS track. They won’t do that. It is hard enough to get a 5.1 PCM track. The only ATMOS trailers that are provided are ones to Cinemas, and they are actually PCM with ATMOS metadata. There is no consumer product that can handle that.
