I finally got the 5.1 audio for Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire (2024) and now the trailer is ready for you to download and enjoy in your home theater. As the title says, it is available in 4K but there are also HD encodes for those who need it for compatibility. There are six encodes in total. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire (2024) will be in theaters on March 29, 2024.
There is also a longer version which I think was released online only, so it only has a stereo track. I did not upload that yet, but will get to work on it next. I am still waiting for the 5.1 track for Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).

Ok, confession time. I have watched the original Twister (1996) at least 100 times. I know, it is not a great film but it is a lot of fun. And back in the early days of DVD it had a fantastic soundtrack that really showed off what a Dolby® Digital 5.1 home theater could do. It has been a couple of years since I have watched it, and the last time showed some aging problems with the special effects. It really is funny how things that look so amazing and realistic at the time go on to look less realistic. Perhaps I am asking a lot for a movie that is 28 years old! I just had my mind blown realizing that when Twister came out the original Star Wars was only 19 years old. Where does the time go?
I am really excited to see Twisters (2024) as it really looks like it has all the elements I loved in the original. I had heard at one time that the lead character was the daughter of Jo and Bill from Twister (1996), but I am not sure that is entirely true. A Quiet Place: Day One (2024)
Today we have our first look at the upcoming third installment in the ‘A Quiet Place’ franchise: A Quiet Place: Day One (2024). I have been meaning to watch the second one, and my son keeps reminding me that we need to watch it. So I need to officially add that to the list as I am sure he will want to check this one out as well. As you can tell by the title this is actually a prequel to the original.
I just added 1080p (1920×804) encodes of Trailer 1, including lossless 10 bit versions with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Speaking of the audio (if it is ok to speak) I think this trailer has the best use of sound that I have heard in a long time. It has an amazing amount of directionality, especially just after the countdown goes to ‘Day 1’ and we experience a full soundscape in New York city, complete with sirens and helicopters overhead. Then we have the after effect of a deafening sound. It is all well done. It is almost Superbowl weekend and that means we will be seeing some special spots for upcoming films – and likely full length trailers online right after. “See the full trailer online now!” as they say. I am planning on adding any trailers that I get, but while the video will be the usual high quality the audio will likely only be stereo. And when they say “now”, it will be a bit delayed as I will need to do the encode and do the upload. I think I will just make a page for everything that I can add to on the fly. Then again, I might not get anything at all. But I am expecting at the very least to be able to get you a high quality version of ‘Deadpool 3’, which may be called ‘Deadpool and Friend’. We know the friend is Wolverine.

From director Dev Patel and producer Jordan Peele, Universal Pictures presents Monkey Man (2024), a story of a young man who unleashes a campaign of vengeance. There is a longer version of the first trailer streaming on the internet, including a RED BAND version. I was hoping to get the 5.1 audio for the longer version, but so far no luck. For now, we will go with the shorter version with the official 5.1 audio track. I do plan to upload the longer RED BAND and probably the longer GREEN BAND versions with stereo audio in the near future. Monkey Man (2024) looks like it should be a pretty good action film. It is hard to believe that Despicable Me 3 was released 7 years ago!

Including Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022) this is now the biggest global animated franchise in history. In Despicable Me 4 (2024) Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (Emmy winner Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Emmy nominee Sofia Vergara), and the family is forced to go on the run. The family also welcomes a new member – Gru Jr.

Hi everyone. Here is the first trailer for Abigail (2024) in 1080p with lossless video and the official 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. Abigail (2024) tells the story of a group of criminals who kidnap a young girl for a $50 million ransom. Unfortunately for them, it turns out that this young girl is not really a young girl at all. I won’t say what she is to keep you spoiler free, but you will find out if you watch the trailer. You can download the first trailer for Abigail (2024) here.
As mentioned earlier this week, I have uploaded trailer 1 for Challengers (2024). Directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist; Challengers (2024) tells the story of a former tennis prodigy who suffers what appears to be a career ending injury (the sound of that snap is painful to hear). She becomes a coach to her husband, in what is essentially a love triangle between her husband and her former boyfriend. And if going by this trailer is accurate, it seems that there was a little 3-way going on between them all at one point. It is rated R for graphic nudity.
The trailer does not contain graphic nudity or course language, but it is suggestive and not likely suitable for children. I have the HD trailer 1 in HEVC and AVC codecs with the official 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio sound track at the Challengers (2024) page.
The News
Tenet is back!
I have heard that Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (2020) is headed back to cinemas and IMAX in the coming weeks. It makes sense to re-release now to capitalize on the box office success and many Oscar nominations of Oppenheimer (2023). Tenet was released during the depths of the pandemic and if you have not ventured out to see it in IMAX it would be worth while doing so. Especially if you are a Christopher Nolan fan.
Superbowl Trailers
The Super Bowl is also coming up in a few weeks and we usually get some peaks at upcoming blockbusters. It is highly anticipated we will get a first look at Deadpool 3 – which may or may not be a full trailer. If not, it will likely be followed by a full trailer in the following days. It is a good bet that we will see Deadpool and Wolverine together in the next 20 days. The Super Bowl is just 18 days away on February 11.
Some other films that we will likely get a look at during the Super Bowl are: Alien Romulus, Gladiator II, Transformers One, and Twisters.
Twisters
Yes, Twisters. If you liked the 1996 tornado chasing film (I did), you will be happy to know that there is a sequel! I hear is about the daughter of Bill Harding (Bill Paxton) and Dr. Jo Harding (Helen Hunt) who essentially does the same thing her parents did. Twister sounded great. I remember seeing the teaser trailer and hearing it with a DTS track. It was intense. I wish I had that audio now. When I got it on DVD the trailer was only in stereo and it was not the same at all.
