Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

The Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) page has been updated with some new encodes of trailer 2, including one with 444 chroma subsampling and five with the official 5.1 mix. I have the 3D but I need help to convert it to an .iso or 3D SBS file. I reached out to the person who did the last conversion and I hope to have it available soon.

I have not received a 4K or IMAX version yet. There is a link to the ProRes in the comments, which was posted to Reddit, and someone did an upscale to 4K which is also in the comments. I can’t post ProRes as it is against my terms of service that I agreed to, but if someone posts a link to Reddit, that is fair game in my book.

With that said, I feel that the encodes I provide are of lossless quality compared to the ProRes, especially the 10 bit versions with 422 or 444 chroma subsampling. And the 8 bit AVC encodes are Blu-ray quality.

I also added new encodes of trailer 1 for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) with the official 5.1 audio mix. It is still only 1080p but I hope to get a 4K or IMAX version in the coming days. There may be 3D too.

Here is the second trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) which hits theaters next month. It is hard to believe that it is almost December already. I don’t think there are any major spoilers in this one – lots of new characters and beautiful scenery. I know that there is an IMAX version, which I do expect to get in the coming days, and likely some 3D encodes as well. I have a few updates this week. First is trailer 1 for Creed III (2023) which is available in 4K with 1 bit video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Click on the link above or the picture to go to the download page. I also have a 5.1 version mix for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which I plan to post later today. I still do not have a 4K or IMAX version yet. Finally, I will be updating the Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) page with trailer 2 which was released yesterday. So far I only have a stereo 1080p version. More to come.

There is only a stereo track available at the moment, but I should have a 5.1 mix in a week or so, and maybe even a 4K version. Who knows? Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

I am not sure how it happened, because I was keeping my open for the second trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) but I totally missed it. Then it took me a while to get the official 5.1 audio. Now, I am happy to tell you that the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) page has been updated with Trailer 2 in all the usual configurations. It is only 17 days until it is released to theatres.

I had a request to re-encode the IMAX Trailer 2 for Avengers: Infinity War (2018) as there were some who had issues with the first few seconds of playback. I was never able to reproduce the problem, but since people are still reaching out to me about it I thought it would be a good idea to go back to the source and do a new encode with the specifications that I have been using in the past year or so. If you had problems with it, hopefully this fixes them. And there are new HEVC encodes as well as a honking big 80 Mbps version – which I think is overkill.

In other Marvel Studios news, the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) dropped today. I am going to get started on the encodes now. They will likely just be 1080p and 2 channel stereo for a week or so until I can get an official mix. Better than nothing though.

Lastly, someone had commented that the new download system does not work and that wetransfer was better. I am still using wetransfer, nothing has changed. So I do not know what that was all about. But there is nothing to download here, you need to go to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) or the Avengers: Infinity War (2018) page to get the links. You can also click on the picture. Maybe that will help.

Last night, I took my son to the cinema to see Avatar (2009) which was on its last night as a re-release leading up to the release of Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)this December. I am glad that I went as the 3D is just so amazing – and for the folks who stayed for the credits we got to see a sneak peek of the next installment. Visually, it was stunning.

The Shazam Fury of the Gods (2022) encodes have all been redone and the issue with the first encodes has been corrected. Thanks to Shrey Tyagi for pointing out the issue.

On to the real topic of this post. The Black Adam (2022) page has been updated to include Trailer 3 which is available as 4K with HEVC 10 bit encodes and 1080p with the official 5.1 audio mix. Black Adam will be in theaters in just two weeks.

In site news, I continue to work on improvements behind the scenes – the amount of spam attacks has been decreasing but there are a few things I still need to resolve.

Black Adam (2022)

The past month or so did not go as planned. You would not know it judging by the lack of new content on the site, but I have spent a lot of time working behind the scenes to keep the site up and free from internet baddies. I believe I have closed all the holes that were causing issues. It is a total pain though, so hopefully I can spend as much time on content moving forward. Especially since October to Christmas usually sees a lot of new trailers being released as the summer blockbuster films seek a showing at the big fall films. Then there is usually almost nothing in January and February.

Speaking of big fall films, Black Adam (2022) should fit that category nicely. The Black Adam (2022) page has been updated with Trailer 2, which took longer to get a 4K version with an official 5.1 mix than I thought it would. Nevertheless, here it is.

An update on the Shazam trailer: That was a totally bad encode, and it has been unpublished. I did spend time trying to find out what exactly happened so that it would not happen again, but I have no idea what happened. I am going to do some new encodes and republish shortly.

Last night Marvel Studios dropped the trailer for their next theatrical film. Yes, we now have the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). With the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, director Ryan Coogler stated that T’Challa – played by Boseman, would not be recast. In this trailer, and the image above – we get our first glimpse of the new Black Panther. I expect to get the 5.1 mix later this week. It looks like the first trailer to coincide with San Diego Comic Con International 2022 is Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023). Not much is known about the plot, but it stars Michelle Rodriguez, Chris Pine and Sophia Lillis and arrives on March 3, 2023. Stereo audio only at this time but I am sure we will have a 5.1 version, and maybe 4K too before long. You can get the first trailer at the Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) page. As a side note, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons when I was a kid. It was great fun and really helped me learn how to read. My mom first worried that I was going to commit suicide, but after she saw the improvement in my reading she wasn’t so worried.

As promised, here are the two trailers for Bullet Train (2022)! From David Leitch – director of Deadpool 2 (2018) comes an action (comedy) about Ladybug (Brad Pitt), an unlucky assassin who finds himself facing off against other assassins on the world’s fastest train – in Japan. Although as I learned from Top Gear, it is not as fast as a Nissan GT-R. It’s Deadpool meets Kill Bill in this summer action film arriving in theaters on August 5.

Trailers 1 and 2 contain the official 5.1 tracks and are there are a variety of video encodes. You can download them at the Bullet Train (2022) page.

San Diego Comic Con

Tomorrow is the kick off for San Diego Comic Con 2022. Back when this site launched on July 22, 2015 (two days until the 7 year anniversary), one of the first trailers I uploaded was the Comic Con trailer for Batman vs. Superman. Those were good times. If you are interested, You can find it at the Justice League (2017) page. So, will we get a Comic Con trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom? What about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever? Or Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)? I will be keeping an eye out, and will upload what I can find. Just don’t expect it to be instant. It takes a lot of time to do the transcoding, encoding, uploading and posting. But I am sure by the time the weekend is out we will have at least one cool new trailer.
